Grant Consulting Services

Grant the Cat, official mascot and compliance officer of King Community Strategies

Meet Grant the Cat 🐾

Our unofficial Chief Compliance Officer who keeps a watchful eye on every grant file, deadline, and regulation.

Grant's Story

Grant the Cat relaxing at the King Community Strategies office

Grant wandered into the King Community Strategies office one afternoon and immediately made himself at home on a stack of Consolidated Plans. From that day forward, he became an indispensable part of the team.

Named after the very thing we do best — grants — this orange tabby has an uncanny ability to sit on exactly the document you need most. Some say it's his way of prioritizing your workload.

When he's not supervising compliance reviews from his favorite windowsill, Grant can be found napping on freshly printed CAPER reports or batting pens off the conference table during planning sessions.

If it fits in a file folder, I sits in a file folder. — Grant the Cat, Chief Compliance Officer

Grant's Specialties

📋

Document Review

Grant personally inspects every document by sitting on it. If he falls asleep, it passes review.

Deadline Management

Meows precisely at 5:00 PM every day to remind the team that deadlines (and dinner) wait for no one.

🔍

Compliance Monitoring

Watches every mouse — and every mouse cursor — with laser-focused attention to detail.

🤝

Client Relations

Greets every visitor with a head bump and a purr. Client satisfaction scores have never been higher.

📊

Data Analysis

Can stare at a spreadsheet for hours. We're still not sure if he's analyzing data or just watching the cursor blink.

🎓

Staff Training

Leads by example — demonstrating the importance of regular breaks, stretching, and afternoon naps.

A Day in Grant's Life

7:00 AM — Arrives at the office (first one in, naturally).

8:00 AM — Morning inspection of all desks and keyboards.

9:30 AM — Reviews incoming mail by knocking it off the counter.

11:00 AM — Compliance nap on the Consolidated Plan binder.

12:00 PM — Lunch meeting (his favorite kind of meeting).

1:30 PM — Attends conference call from the warmest laptop.

3:00 PM — Afternoon audit of the paper shredder output.

5:00 PM — Issues the official end-of-day meow.

While Grant takes his role very seriously, all actual grant consulting is performed by our certified human professionals. Grant's contributions are limited to moral support, document warming, and the occasional keyboard walk.
